🎓 Beginner Fundamentals

Program Details:

  • 8-week program
  • 60 minutes per session
  • Max 6 players (6 players per court)

Objective:

The Beginner Fundamentals class is designed for new players who are learning tennis for the first time. The program introduces the basics of strokes, footwork, and rules of the game in a fun, structured environment. Players will develop consistency and control through drills and games, while building the confidence to rally and play matches.

📝 Sample Clinic Plan

Warm-Up & Coordination (10 min)

  • Dynamic stretches and footwork drills to prepare for movement
  • Coordination activities to build agility and balance

Short-Court Control (10 min)

  • Mini rallies inside the service boxes
  • Focus on soft hands, control, and touch at the net

Volley & Target Hitting (20 min)

  • Baseline forehand and backhand feeds for accuracy
  • Volley drills with targets for placement and control
  • Partner rally challenges for quick reaction and consistency

Serve Development (10 min)

  • Shadow swings to refine rhythm and mechanics
  • 10–15 serves each, focusing on accuracy and consistency
  • Introduction to serve placement (wide, body, T)

Singles Service Points (10 min)

  • King of the Court format for short-point competition
  • Reinforces serving, rallying, and tactical decision-making under pressure

  • Strengthen stroke mechanics (forehand, backhand, volleys, serve)
  • Build consistency and confidence in live play
  • Improve court positioning and tactical awareness
